Q13: How do I get there?

You can also get to the vineyard via public transport. Dorking Station and Box Hill & Westhumble Station are both a short walk from the vineyard so perfect to ensure you are not tempted to drink and drive!

Directions from Train Dorking Station

Exit Dorking Station onto Station Approach Road. As you walk towards the A24 (London Road) you will see on the right-hand side of the road an underpass which you will need to take to cross the main road. Exiting the underpass turning right follow London Road all the way up to the roundabout where you will see the entrance to Denbies Wine Estate. (It is less than 1K in distance). Directions from Box Hill & Westhumble Train Station

Exit Box Hill & Westhumble Station turning right onto Westhumble Street. Follow Westhumble Street until the end where you reach the A24 (London Road). Turn right and follow London Road all the way down until you see the vineyard over the hedges on your right. There is then a small footpath on your right which you can take to lead you into the Wine Estate. (It is less than 2K in distance). Click here for an interactive map.

Q14: What time must I arrive?

A14: We recommend that you arrive 60-90 minutes before the start of your race to allow time for parking, bag drop and to ensure you have enough time to collect your race pack (if you need it).

Q15: I have spectators coming to watch, how and when do they get in?

A15: Spectators arrive and park in the same place as competitors. As the venue is open on race day you are free to arrive and leave when you please.  

Q16: Is the car park close to the race village/start?

A16: Yes, the car park is a short walk to the main Denbies Building, Start and Race Village.

Q18: When does the main event start?

A18: The first wave of the half marathon starts at 09:30am and then every 15 mins until 10:30am. The first 10K wave will start at 10:45 and the 2K will start at 11:05am.

Q19: What facilities will there be on-site?

A19: There will be both temporary toilets and toilets within the main Denbies Estate building. Event parking will be in the Bacchus field to the right of the main Denbies car park. Please follow event parking signs on the day. Registered participants will receive their hog roast directly as they finish the race. Other food, drink and refreshments are available within the main Denbies building for spectators and other guests. There will be a managed baggage area.  

Q20: When does the event finish?

A20: The race itself finishes when the last runner comes across the line. The post-race hog roast and music however will continue to be available for a period of time after the race for all to enjoy. The actual timing is subject to change on the day.
