Q1: Is it for me?

A1: Bacchus is a celebration of wine, music and running. The aim is to have fun and finish, not to be watching the clock.  

Q2: What fitness level must I be?

A2: There is no fitness level required at all for Bacchus. Whether you walk or run everyone is welcome to join in the fun. There is no cut-off time either!

Q3: What is the age limit for Bacchus?

A3: The minimum age for the Half Marathon is 18 yrs. 

The minimum age for the 10K is 15 yrs.

There is no age limit for the 2K Fun Run.

Please note if you are under 18 your number will be marked, and you will be served soft drinks at the event.  

Q4: Are there prizes for the winners?

A4: As Bacchus Wine Half Marathon & 10K are primarily fun runs there will not be prizes for those first across the line. However, awards are given to the best fancy dress costumes we see on the day. The competition is judged by our finish line team and will be given on the spot. (Decisions are entirely subjective as this is a light-hearted competition – there will be no discussion on the decisions they make).

Q5: What is included in my entry fee?

A5: Entry fee includes.  

- Race Entry and Timing

- Finisher’s Medal

- All wines and food at drinks stations

- Technical t-shirt (Half Marathon ONLY)                        

10K runners can purchase t-shirts in advance of race day for £10 on our booking platform or by emailing There will be a limited number of t-shirts on the day (if we have stock) that can be bought for £15.

- Ticket to the post-race hog roast with complimentary drink

- Free parking

- Medical Support  

- Secure Baggage

- Free digital downloads of race photos

Q6: Can I volunteer?

A6: Yes, you can! If you are interested in volunteering, please email for more information.

Q7: When do entries close?

A7: Entries close on Wednesday 7th September at 12:00pm (No entries will be accepted after this time).

Q8: When/ how will I receive my race pack?

A8: If you entered the race before the 19th August 2022, race packs will be posted to you. If you entered after this time, your race pack will be available to collect on race morning from our registration tent. If you entered before the posting cut-off and have not received your race pack by Wednesday 7th September, please let us know by emailing

Q9: Prices

A9: Half Marathon = £56

10K = £35

2K Fun Run = Free (but there are limited places and entries be made through the booking platform).

Q10: What do I do if I can no longer run?

A10: There are several options available to you if you can no longer run. You can defer your entry to the following year, or you can transfer your entry to another runner. We do not offer refunds. To defer or transfer your entry please email with your details.

Q11: Can I defer my entry?

A11: Yes, deferrals must be made prior to the event up until Wednesday 7th September at 12:00pm. Please email with your details.

Q12: Can I transfer my entry to someone else?

A12: Yes, transfers must be made prior to the event up until Wednesday 7th September at 12:00pm. The original entry owner must email to confirm the entry transfer.
